Yew Entry · History: significant people (Grace Darling)

A ship on the rocks. A storm. One small rowing boat.

In 1838 a steamship breaks apart on the rocks near Grace Darling's lighthouse. At dawn Grace sees people clinging to the stones, and she and her father row out into the storm to reach them. Then they have to go back for the rest, and the sea has not finished with them yet.

For teachers: Brings significant-people history to life, told in short, hard sentences that are made to be read aloud.

Format: Classroom book (three episodes) and three home reading booklets.
